I was born and raised in Wadsworth, OH. I graduated in 1983 and went directly to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh the next fall. There, I majored in Commercial Art for one year. I decided, over the summer break, to discontinue my studies there and transferred my credits closer to home at Akron, University. There, I studied Fine Art and English.
I then attended The Joe Kubert School for Cartoon Art and Graphic Design for a semester and attended Kent State for one semester.
I was young and couldn't make up my mind which direction I wanted to go. I even went back to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for a semester in 1988.
Then I found my wife, Susan and I knew where I wanted to be. We got married on August 4, 1989 in New Brighton, PA. Since that time we have lived in Barberton, OH, Kenmore OH., Cuyahoga Falls OH, Pittsburgh, PA and back to Barberton, where we have lived since 1995.
In 1996 we had our first beautiful son, Paul. Followed in 2000 by Steven and in 2001 we had Thomas.
